Vysyvanka Day is celebrated in Ukraine every year on the third Thursday of May. To join the holiday is very simple – you need to wear an embroidered shirt. That’s what the children of the “Happiness Academy “Leapkids ” did together with their teachers! And the children also determined what colors the shirts are embroidered with and what ornament is used in different regions of Ukraine. The kids know that the Ukrainian vyshyvanka is not just a festive dress, but also a talisman against misfortune, a symbol of beauty and good fortune, the genetic code of our nation.
